Composer, Vibraphonist, and Improviser Ben Dunham strives to integrate his worlds of jazz and contemporary music with an improvisatory flair and freedom, capturing the unique personal connection found only in music.  This philosophy has demonstrated itself in recent works such as “It was just a thought…” premiered by Ensemble Mise-En, “Kineti~scence” written for ~Nois, and has worked with groups such as The Rhythm Method, FSU’s Polymorphia Ensemble, and the VICE Ensemble.

As a jazz vibraphonist, Ben released his debut record of original compositions and arrangements Homesick in September of 2023, and has planned his second record (this time co-led with NYC bassist Aidan McCarthy) Before We Go to be released in the spring of 2027.

Ben has been recognized by organizations such as Tribeca New Music and the Downebeat Magazine.  He is currently attending the Peabody Conservatory where he studies with Dr. Felipe Lara.
